“This invention includes a magnesium oxide/titanium dioxide composite having a wide surface area, a large pore volume, and excellent CO2 adsorption performance, as well as a method for its manufacture, for capturing carbon dioxide. More specifically, an adsorbent is provided in the capture agent for capturing carbon dioxide. According to the present invention, a novel MgO-based composite metal oxide that can stably adsorb CO2 at low temperatures such as room temperature is provided. The adsorbent for capturing carbon dioxide, including the magnesium oxide/titanium dioxide composite, has good thermal stability, easy control of basic sites, and is used in various fields for capturing carbon dioxide. In addition, by preventing and controlling the molar ratio of metal ions in the form of the magnesium oxide/titanium dioxide composite, an adsorbent for capturing carbon dioxide with a large surface area, pore volume, and strong basic sites can be provided.”
