“Described is a method and system for image processing and data transmission in a network-based multi-camera environment. The concept of the invention provides users with real-time, efficient 3D/stereoscopic holographic image services through the use of in-network computing technology. In particular, the concept of the invention efficiently processes and transmits information captured by cameras cooperating to produce 3D/stereoscopic holographic images, reducing the amount of information transmitted through the processing of multiple cameras while minimizing the loss of quality in the final 3D/stereoscopic holographic image.”
