“Described is a method for producing bio-alcohol based on the fermentation of syngas. The method includes adding a hydrophobicity-modified hydrophilic nano particle surface to the medium for fermentation. The hydrophobicity-modified hydrophilic nano particle surface for improving bio-alcohol yield is also disclosed. The hydrophilic nano particles may be, for example, silica nano particles.”
