This invention relates to single-point detection type microchip electrochemical focusing. The single-point detection type microchip electrochemical focusing uses a microchip containing first and second electrode portions, each storing a solution design for fine fluid channels between the first and second electrode portions and solutions at each end. It involves a focusing adjustment step, applying electric fields to the first electrode portion and the second electrode portion, respectively, to separate biomolecules at the focusing point, and a mobilization step, moving the focused biomolecules to the detection point by removing electrode solutions from the first electrode portion or the second electrode portion. It also includes a detection step, operating biomolecules towards the detection point.
